As part of the marketing team, the primary responsibility of the incumbent will be to support business expansion and drive sales. By doing so, you will solicit new accounts and carry out demonstrations, as well as nurture existing account relationships. The incumbent must also have a strong strategic bent of mind, since an important responsibility will be to provide the company market feedback and play an active role in evolving the company’s sales strategy. Additional responsibilities down the road may include managing a sales outsourcing relationship. While, internationally the domain area is well understood, in the Indian context there is a huge opportunity to create new markets. The Indian market is a multi-billion dollar retail market expected to both grow and be transformed by technology in the next few years. a young company headquartered out of Bangalore supported by a multinational team. Its founders are ex-IITians who have worked at numerous successful startups in Silicon Valley. financially backed by world-class venture capitalists who among them have launched companies like Hotmail, Skype, Verisign, Veritas and the Gartner Group. Key responsibilities · Owning a topline revenue number for sales to small and medium businesses in a given target zone · Understanding regional market dynamics and building sales strategy and team in a given region · Managing a branch office operations including daily managerment of sales surpervisor(s) and sales executives · Developing and managing a set of Key Accounts in the given region Requirements · 3-5 years in sales - need to have passion for sales - particular industry experience not important · An ability to think creatively to aid in sales strategy · Ability to meet measurable business targets in a sales capacity · Ambition to be the pioneer to sell new products and services for the Indian market · Proficient with PC and the Internet, as well as with MS Excel, MS Word. · Proficient in spoken and written English · Local language proficiency (e.g. kannada for Bangalore office, Punjabi for Chandigarh, Marathi for Maharashtra etc.) Compensation We offer a competitive salary, stock options in the company, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for rapid development and advancement throughout our organization.
